Indianapolis, IN – The American Teleservices Association (“ATA”) concluded another successful annual convention last week in San Antonio, TX as it held its 25th Annual ATA Convention & Expo. Hundreds of attendees and exhibitors gathered along the banks of the city’s famed River Walk to participate in an educational conference, vendor exposition and awards presentation, October 5-8 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.
“It was an honor to recognize the work of our industry’s best during this year’s convention. After 25 years, the ATA continues to take pride in those companies that strive to promote legitimate business by phone. Our annual conference, known as ICE, remains focused on delivering an Ideal Customer Experience on every level and from locations all across the globe,” commented ATA CEO Tim Searcy. “On behalf of the Association and its Board of Directors, I congratulate this year’s award winners and hope that they will continue to build on the 25 years of success that our leaders have worked so hard to create and maintain.”
Additional conference highlights included:
- Three-track educational program themed “The Customer Rules” led by contact center experts on topics such as compliance, analytics, staffing, crisis management, vendor relations, and regulatory issues
- Popular networking events including golf and tennis tournaments, exhibit hall receptions, and casino night
- Keynote sessions providing insight on mobile marketing, globalization, growth challenges and ATA’s ongoing commitment to creating an Ideal Customer Experience (ICE)
- Exposition hall featuring industry-leading vendors representing a variety of global products and services
- Call Centers Care’s first association-wide philanthropic event with members participating in a local Habitat for Humanity project build
For the second year in a row, members came together in support of the ATA-PAC, the association’s political action committee, for a night of live music entertainment. This event’s success was evident as members presented over $22,000 in contributions to the ATA-PAC leaders.
The ATA Awards Gala was held on the evening of Tuesday, October 7 when the association presented awards to distinguished individuals as well as to local chapters for their contributions to the organization’s success and the call center industry as a whole. Award recipients were as follows:
