ATA State Legislation Committee

Mission Statement

The ATA State Legislative Subcommittee shall provide the resources and support necessary to help the ATA and ATA membership protect the vital interests of teleservices professionals across the United States. By working in conjunction with ATA members across the country, the Subcommittee shall play a critical role in protecting the rights of teleservices professionals to continue to provide convenient marketing opportunities to consumers, to elicit charitable contributions, and to distribute political messages.

To make this vision a reality, the Subcommittee shall:

1. Track telemarketing related legislation across the United States, and help identify bills that negatively impact the teleservices industry;

2. Gather from the ATA membership the mission-critical information necessary to impact pending legislation; and

3. Help coordinate the efforts of ATA members to impact specific bills and proposed regulations.
