The Compliance Officer Forum will bring
together the best ideas and compliance techniques to deal with the
latest compliance challenges. If you are the compliance officer or
the person who is responsible for compliance at your company and
have ever wondered how to ensure your firm is meeting all of it’s
regulatory requirements but didn’t quite know who ask for advice;
this is your opportunity to become a part of a growing community of
compliance professionals doing the same kind of work you are and
facing the same kinds of challenges. The Compliance Officers Forum
will provide you a place where you can ask questions, provide
answers, and share your compliance experiences with a group of
professionals just like yourself. |

The Compliance Officer
Forum will be set up as an open committee where everyone will have the
chance to participate. Its members will drive the discussion, they ask the
questions and they provide the answers. The Forum will meet monthly via
conference calls to discuss the issues of importance. An email account, cof@ataconnect.org, has been
established where compliance officers can pose questions that will be
addressed at the next conference call.
The topics and discussion
highlights will appear regularly in eConnections and on the ATA website to
provide you with a resource of compliance knowledge.
The Compliance Officer
Forum will not just hold conference calls, we plan to work with the
members of the Forum to set up workgroups who will be able to aid in the
drafting of white papers on such topics as: How to Write a Call Center
Compliance Manual, How to Prepare and Work Exception Reports, How to Train
Employees on Compliance Issues, How to Deal with Regulators, and many
more. These white papers will be included in eConnections and on the ATA
website.
If that’s not enough;
we are also planning events at the upcoming ATA Annual Convention and Expo
that will give the members of the Compliance Officer Forum a chance to get
together and talk face to face. This will become a regular part of the
Convention and the Legislative Conference.
As compliance
officers, you know how important it is to stay up to date on the latest
issues and the best procedures to keep your companies in compliance.
Please make it a point to join the Compliance Officer Forum and lend your
experience and knowledge to others and most importantly gain the tools you
need to be a success in the field of telemarketing compliance.
