How Do You Eat An Elephant?

"How Do You Eat an Elephant?" was the theme for the November 16, 2011 American Teleservices Association's Midwest Chapter meeting in Omaha.

Attendees from the seven-state Midwest Chapter region gathered in Omaha for a day of networking and education. Featured topics were "Work at Home: Risks& Rewards" with panelists Angela Morris, Dean Garfinkel and Gigi O'Hara, "Motivation& Incentives" with speaker Laurie Alm, "ELearning Best Practices" with Michael Merritt, and the keynote of the day, "Embrace Your Freakness" with speaker and author Frank Keck.

food driveIn addition, as part of its commitment to community service, the ATA Midwest Chapter sponsored a food drive to support Lydia House, an Omaha-Based non-profit which is a safe shelter for more than 300 women and families. The food drive was part of the Lydia House campaign called Turkey 'N' Fixin's. 5000 food boxes were distributed for the Heartland's hungry prior to Thanksgiving.

The ATA Midwest Chapter board is made up of 14 call center industry executives from across the Midwest. The board is led by Christine Haerich of Protocol Global Solutions. "In the Midwest Chapter, we have built a tradition of putting on events that attract people from all types of call centers. Attendees are drawn from inbound call center operations and outbound call center operations. The chapter board has once again successfully put together an event that was well attended and had a great mix of
education and networking," stated Christine Haerich.
