Dominican Republic to Launch Contact Center Training and Recruitment Institute
Santo Domingo, DR- The Cyber Park of Santo Domingo (PCSD) has announced the opening of the Contact Center Institute of the Americas (CCI). This joint venture between the PCSD, Fine Marketing Solutions (www.finemarketingsolutions.com) and TeleDevelopment Services (www.teledevelopment.com) will provide training and recruiting services to support in country growth of contact center and BPO service organizations.
“The Dominican Republic is fast becoming a near shore outsourcing destination of choice for US companies. Our primary objective is to provide a highly skilled labor force to support the growing demand. PSD provides us with a perfect blend of technology, support services and infrastructure to enable large pools of agent and management candidates to be trained efficiently and effectively” remarked Jason Fine, CEO of CCI.
Jon Kaplan, President of TeleDevelopment Services Inc. and Co-founder of CCI states, “after doing work in India and the Philippines for servicing the offshore market, setting up a contact center and BPO institute in the Dominican Republic was an easy decision. The DR has all the right components for being an excellent near-shore location for outsourcing or setting up captive centers. The quality of the labor force, strong government support and location made this an easy choice.”
The institute plans to graduate over 2,000 contact center agents in 2007 alone and will increase graduate rates in years to come. Upon graduation, CCI will assist students in finding a job with a company that best fits their skill set and career objectives. CCI will also offer courses in call technology, advanced call center management and be available to outsource a company’s entire new hire training program. Contact center supervisors and quality assurance staff will also find curriculum that will improve their knowledge and job performance.
“Our government is committed to growing our share of contact center and BPO membership. We continue to view this industry as vital to increasing jobs and improving the overall quality of life for Dominicans. The CCI not only provides a strategic advantage to our country it is a critical element to us achieving our goals,” commented Eddy Martinez, Secretary of State.
CCI hopes to conduct its first training classes by June of this year. For more information contact Tim Tinnel by email info@finemarketingsolutions.com or telephone 866-686-FINE.
